Purchase additional quota when plan limits exceeded.

What are Top-Ups?

One-time purchases of additional quota:

• No recurring billing
• Pay per use
• Auto-deducted from balance
• Never expires

Available Top-Ups

RUM Credits

Sessions - $5 per 10,000 sessions Events - $3 per 100,000 events
Replay Storage - $10 per 5GB

OTLP Credits

Spans - $5 per 100,000 spans Logs - $10 per 5GB storage

Purchasing Top-Ups

1. Dashboard → Billing → Top-Ups
2. Select credit type
3. Enter quantity
4. Review total
5. Purchase (Stripe checkout)

How Top-Ups Work

Auto-Deduction

When monthly quota exceeded:

1. Check for active top-up balance
2. Deduct required amount
3. Continue accepting data
4. Alert on low balance

Manual Use

Explicitly use top-up credits:

App Settings → Quotas → Overage Handling

Options:

• Reject (default) - Block when quota exceeded
• Use Top-Ups - Auto-deduct from balance
• Alert Only - Continue but send alerts

Viewing Balance

Dashboard → Billing → Top-Up Balance

Shows current balance:

RUM Sessions: 5,000
RUM Events: 20,000  
Replay Storage: 2GB
OTLP Spans: 10,000
OTLP Logs: 1GB

Usage Tracking

Dashboard → Observability → Apps → [App] → Usage → Top-Up Usage

View deductions:

2024-01-15  Sessions    -1,000   (Quota exceeded)
2024-01-20  Events      -5,000   (Quota exceeded)
2024-01-25  Spans       -2,500   (Quota exceeded)

Alerts

Configure low balance alerts:

Settings → Notifications → Top-Up Alerts

Trigger when:

• Balance < 20%
• Balance depleted
• Overage without balance

Pricing

Volume Discounts

Bulk Purchase

Save with bulk:

10,000 sessions × 1 = $5.00
10,000 sessions × 10 = $45.00 (10% off)
10,000 sessions × 20 = $85.00 (15% off)

Refunds

Top-up credits are non-refundable but:

• Never expire
• Transferable between apps (same account)
• Can be gifted to team members

Best Practices

✅ DO:

• Purchase in bulk for discounts
• Monitor balance regularly
• Set low balance alerts
• Plan for traffic spikes

❌ DON'T:

• Wait until balance depleted
• Buy more than needed (no expiry but ties up funds)
• Ignore usage patterns
